Voltatex 8816


Voltatex® 8816 represents a class thermoplastic bonding wire enamel. Voltatex 8816  bonding wire enamel can be applied to polyurethane, polyesterimide and polyesterimide/polyamideimide base coats. Magnet wires coated with Voltatex 8816 as bond coat may be bonded by resistance heating, solvents or hot air.
The minimum bonding temperature is 160 °C, but optimum bond strength requires a temperature of 180 °C. Combined with other Voltatex wire enamel products Voltatex 8816 as bond coat exceed the requirements and technical conditions of IEC 60317-35/36 and 37 and acc. ANSI/NEMA MW 131-C, MW 135-C and MW 136-C. Listed test results based on Axalta Coating Systems standards, following IEC standards 60851.
