Interim General Counsel


Ms. Oman is the Interim General Counsel of Axalta Coating Systems. As the leader of Axalta’s ethics and sustainability programs, she is responsible for ensuring that the Company’s employees and business partners do business with integrity and uphold the Company’s commitment to environmental stewardship, social performance and good governance. She also oversees Axalta’s Corporate Affairs team, which is responsible for crisis management, government affairs, internal and external communications strategies and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Previously, she served as Counsel in WilmerHale LLP’s Litigation Department and was a member of the Investigations and Criminal Litigation and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and Anti-Corruption Practice Groups. At WilmerHale, Ms. Oman’s practice focused on government and internal investigations and counseling clients on FCPA issues, including the development and implementation of effective compliance programs and compliance considerations in cross-border mergers, joint ventures and acquisitions. Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Oman was a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State with postings including Port-au-Prince, Haiti and the executive staff for Secretaries of State Madeleine Albright and Colin Powell. She also served as a staffer on Capitol Hill. Ms. Oman earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a J.D., with honors, from the George Washington University Law School.
