Employee Engagement

One of Axalta’s values is “We succeed as a united global team.” This is more than just words in our company. We strive to engage employees at every level. In 2015, we introduced The Axalta Way, which is our focused business approach to growth and productivity. Every employee around the globe has been educated on The Axalta Way and has been asked to put The Axalta Way into practice on the job every day. We anticipate that ideas from our employees on how to grow and increase productivity will save us an estimated $100 million between 2016 and 2018.

In 2015, we introduced a global publication distributed to all employees entitled The Axalta Way that showcases success stories to share best practices and motivate employees who contributed to the large-scale Axalta Way projects. To further convey the importance of The Axalta Way and its relevance to everyone in the company, in 2016 we will introduce a new award that recognizes employees for their contributions to The Axalta Way.

Axalta also has continued to recognize special achievement during our annual senior leadership meeting. In 2014 and 2015, five senior management employees were recognized. These employees made significant contributions in areas of commercial growth, customer engagement, productivity, and technology. They set the example for others to follow through their leadership, results, and limitless devotion to the company, their colleagues, and our customers.

In addition to personal development, Axalta encourages employees to be leaders in their communities. Through our corporate social responsibility programs, employees have planted trees in China, raised money for cancer research in Europe, and supported STEM-based science programs for children in the United States. Engaging our employees to help in their communities through employer sponsored or supported events will continue to strengthen our culture and communities alike. More information on Axalta’s community involvement is available in the corporate social responsibility section of this report.
